Austin Young Engineer's Award
Biannually, publishing companies are invited to submit books for competition in the Austin Young Engineer's Award Program. Students review the books and through a voting process select the six most outstanding books to receive the "Austin Young Engineer's Award" gold seal. This program is believed to be one-of-a-kind in the nation and was developed to encourage elementary students to become acquainted with quality science, math, and engineering books. Austin Magnet's library is home to more than 100 engineering books!
